From the classroom to Kelona, a journey built on purpose.

Hi, I'm Arshiya—an educator, a mother, and the founder of Kelona.
For three years, I worked in a non-profit school with first-generation learners. One lesson stayed with me: children learn best when they're engaged, curious, and free to play. The most meaningful learning didn't happen during formal lessons—it happened when children explored, imagined, solved problems, and created stories together.
As a parent, I began looking for products that encouraged that kind of play at home. While there were plenty of toys that entertained, very few were intentionally designed to support a child's development.
That's why I created Kelona—a play mat that combines storytelling, movement, and open-ended play to help children build essential skills while doing what they naturally love most: playing.

A play world, not a product. That was the starting point.

I kept coming back to the farm. There's something universal about it, animals with distinct personalities, a community that depends on each other, seasons that change. A farm felt like a world children could enter and make their own.

That's how Bubbles Farm was born; not as a theme, but as a living story world where Honey, Poco, Cruzo, and Lulu were waiting for every child who arrived.

Crafted by Early Learning Specialists

I knew from the start that my vision needed to be tested by people who understood child development far more deeply than I did. I reached out to two experts who changed the way I thought about play entirely.

  • Ms N. Pushpavalli

Early Childhood Principal · ECDA Fellow · SkillsFuture Fellow, Singapore

She brought 30 years of classroom wisdom and helped me understand how each section of the mat needed to build on the previous one; the way a good teacher builds a lesson.

  • Leena Deubet

Play Therapist · Parent Facilitator · Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher, Mumbai

Leena helped me see the emotional layer that play is not just skill-building. It's where children process, connect, and learn who they are. That changed the characters completely.

Made with care

Made for Safe Play

The materials took as long to get right as the design. I wouldn't accept anything that I wouldn't put in front of a newborn. That set the bar very high — and I'm glad it did.

EN71 safety · Non-toxic dyes · No lead or cadmium · Phthalate free

The mat is 0.7cm thick, padded enough for a newborn's tummy time, durable enough for a toddler who treats it like a football pitch.
